Do you ever just get the urge to go home? Not your current home, because if you are anything like me you already spend too much time there, but your home of origin. Your mom’s house. I told you once before that I grew up in a small town, a village if you will. The longer I spend away from there the more I want to go back. For some reason those wooden sidewalks and false front hold a special place in my heart and almost call me to come back to them.
Now don’t get me wrong, after about 3 days I am totally over it and ready to come back to my “real” home, but that’s a nice feeling too. I grew up playing in fields, catching frogs in ditches and exploring nature to its fullest. Some of the best hiking and camping spots I’ve ever been to can be found in this place I call home. I want my kids to be able to experience that same magical outdoors experience and have memories of playing in the dirt, climbing trees and being a part of nature.
I got this feeling last spring and so in a moment of weakness or strength (depending on how you look at it) I made camping reservations for 4 days and 3 nights! We just got back and I wanted to share with you some of the pictures I took during our trip!
