These are one of my favorite snacks to make for my kids (and me) because they are super quick to whip up and they are so delicious! I’ve mixed these by hand and using my food processor and no matter which way you do it you are guaranteed an arm workout!
No Bake Snack Bites
- 1 cup oats
- 1/2 cup peanut butter
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/2 cup flax
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup shredded coconut
Put all of your ingredients in a bowl and get out a sturdy spoon. Mix all your ingredients together until you have a thick and sticky consistency. Sometimes at the end I have to mix by hand to really get it all combined. Then you just roll it into little balls. I usually make ping pong ball size balls and end up with between 15-20, but you can adjust it to fit your needs!
This is my basic recipe (and the one I use most often, but you can also change it up by adding any other following ingredients:
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup dried fruit
This is a recipe that I often give my kids as a “treat”. They love that it is chocolate and I love that it is actually pretty good for them! If you like this recipe you will probably also like these!

Isn’t it bad for you to eat raw oats? How do you think this would work with soaked ones?
Ashley Emmett says
I have never had a problem eating raw oats. I use the instant oatmeal oats. This recipe wouldn’t work with wet oats, so unless you dehydrated then after soaking them they would not work.

Hi! These look so good. I bought the ingredients for these, and I am planning to make them as a snack, but I also wanted to take them on an upcoming camping trip. I’m just wondering if you have any information on how long these will keep, and under what conditions? Thanks!
Ashley Emmett says
Because all of the ingredients are shelf stable I imagine that if you kept them in an airtight container they would last as long as regular cookies. I keep ours in the fridge to try and avoid any extra stickiness, but they can definitely be left out at room temp!

Thanks!
