My daughter is a huge Disney Princess fan and so back when I was planning her party I mare these princess wands to match all of her costumes. They were super quick to make and my daughter’s both loved them so much!
I started by cutting my 4′ dowel into 4 even pieces each 12″long. I used the chop saw to do that but these dowels are so skinny you could probably use pruning shears, loppers or even a sharp serrated knife. Once your wands are cut go ahead and screw an eye hook into the end of the dowel. Next comes the fun part, you get to pick out your ribbons! I started by cutting four 18″ sections of regular present wrapping ribbon. I then made a small cut vertically at the end of each strand and split them each into two ribbons. I did this until I had about 16 ribbons in different colors ready to go. I bunched them all together and fed them through the eye hook. I then tied each ribbon in a knot individually. This created a really full looking wand. I finished it off by running my scissor blade over them giving them a nice subtle curl.
