So I shared with your the first phase in my hubby’s man cave/jam room makeover last month and I’m here to share with you the second part. This part was so much much fun and makes such a cool statement as soon as you walk in! It took a little convincing to get my hubby on board, but once we got started he was all in. First off here is a before and a before, before picture of the space.
The first thing I did was have my hubby make a list of all his favorite bands and artists. I then searched Google for cool images for each of these. For some it was album cover art, for others actual photos of the band/artist, and for some I used cool concert posters. I wanted to make sure there was a wide variety of colors, sizes and genres. I saved and edited all my photos in PhotoShop and then sent them off to Staples to print. Disclaimer:I am probably bending the rules by doing this project this way (and not buying legitimate licensed art), however since I am not selling any of the images or being paid to write about them I feel like it’s okay. Use your own judgement if you want to recreate something like this on your own. I did this in batches, printing about 20 images at a time. Mostly because I wanted to be able to fill in the blanks and get every inch of the wall covered and I wasn’t sure how it would all lay out on the wall. Once I had each image trimmed to size I sprayed the back of each one with spray adhesive and stuck them to the wall. I started with the ginormous engineering prints and worked from there.
I continued on like this for a couple of weeks. It takes a lot longer than you might think to find the “right” images, edit them to size, print, cut and then place them!!! It has been up for a couple of months now and the spray adhesive is sticking like a champ. I feel fairly confident saying that I believe they will stay up there until we choose to take them down!
It only took about 3 weeks of working off and on after the kids went to bed at night to get the whole thing done. Using staples regular copy paper for almost all the prints was a HUGE money saver and we probably only spent $40 total on all the copies! There are some regular posters that we had hanging in other places around our house and I wish they were on a matte paper as they tend to pick up a gnarly glare when the light shines on them. Other than that this was a really low key project. It is definitely a show stopping talking point

Veo mucha historia en una sola pared. Me encantaria tener un wallpaper gigante de los pink floyd en la pared de mi salon
