So we are finally wrapping up the crazy six month stretch of birthdays and holidays in our house. It all kicks off in the beginning of October with my littlests birthday and doesn’t officially end until April with my birthday, however the rest are back to back sandwiched between all the other craziness of the holiday season (October, December, January, February)! My middle daughter is turning four this year and I am so excited to be throwing a special party for her! She is a HUGE Disney princess lover and so when I was chosen to be a host for a #DisneySide party I knew exactly who was going to be benefiting from it!
A few weeks ago my box of fun arrived from Disney and what was inside was a total surprise. To start with I received the coolest suitcase ever, it is lime green and it will be the perfect thing for me to take on an upcoming conference trip to be sure I don’t lose it in the airport! Inside the suitcase were a ton of fun party supplies: race cards, bracelets, photo paper, plates, cups, craisins and more!
Although these things are not necessarily Disney princess themed they are going to be a perfect accompaniment to the overall Disney magic theme. Once I knew what I was working with and I had a rough idea of what I was going to be doing it was time to get some invitations made. I knew that I wanted to use a picture of my daughter on the card and so I started with that. I cropped it to about 1/3 of the size of the page and went from there. In true Disney fashion I added the infamous castle silhouette to the bottom. I then girlied it up with a pink background and maroon accents. Of course, the wording had to reflect the princess theme and so I wrote up a “Royal Decree”. The rest is just nuts and bolts information, but the theme is carried throughout. I refer to our home as the “castle” and myself as the “queen”. It’s these little details that really set the mood for a fun party. I have so many ideas in the works for her special day and i can’t wait to share some more of them with you! For now though, you’ll have to just wait!
