I was provided a Kreation Krate to review. As always, all opinions, ideas and photos are 100% mine.
If you haven’t heard of Kreation Krate let me tell you you’re missing out! There are a lot of crafty subscription services out there, but what really sets this one apart is their focus on giving. Each box not only comes with a super awesome craft for you to make, but it also comes with a second craft for you to gift to someone else. I received the May package, which was full of things to grow!
The best part about this kit was that EVERYTHING you need to complete all the projects was included! In this box was Chalkboard Spray Paint, 3 Clay Pots with Dirt Pellets, Basil/Oregano/Cilantro Seed Packets, Chalk, Cloud Stencils, White Acrylic Paint, Stencil Foam Brush, Burlap, Moss Green Twine, Random Act of Kindness Cards, Wildflower Seed Balls and Instructions. I started off with the kindness craft. You simply cut the burlap into squares, fold the seed ball and directions into the middle and tie them up. The included tags were too cute and they were already punched so I just slid the twine through the hole and voila! Easy gift to share with others!
Once those were done I got started on my project. This krate came with three small terra cotta pots and a can of spray paint. The instructions said to use the included tape and tissue paper to mask off any areas you didn’t want to be painted and then spray them with the chalkboard paint. I decided to do one pot with just the lip left natural, one with the just the lip painted with chalkboard and one totally chalkboarded up! The chalkboard spray paint dries insanely fast and I was able to move on to the next step within 15 minutes.
While I was painting the pots I had the dirt pellets (see what I mean about everything being included!) growing in water and by the time the pots were dry the pellets had grown to full size and I was ready to plant! However, my pots weren’t done yet. Included in my box was a really cute spongey painter and some white paint. I used this to create sweet little clouds on my pots. I also took this opportunity to label my pots, because I didn’t want to try and write on them once the dirt and seeds were in there!
The kit comes with seed planting instruction, which for someone like me who just throws seeds in dirt all willy nilly was great. It told me exactly how deep to plant each one, where to put them once they were planted (full sun!), how to water them (mist them daily) and how long it would be before each one poked it’s little head out of the ground!
Here they are on my someday pantry/breakfast bar window sill! I love how sweet the whole setup looks and how easy it was to complete! I also have lots of paint left over, which is good because they included some bonus craft ideas in their kit just for that! The best part is they are offering YOU $5 off your first month with code “EVERAFTER5″. So jump on over to their website and get your subscription today! They also offer gift subscriptions, so if you have a friend who wants to be crafty, but just can’t seem to ever get started, this service is sure to be the kick in the pants they need!
