I swear September 1st rolled around in my neck of the woods and everything cooled off ten degrees, the leaves started to brown on their edges and I could smell my neighbors having fires in their fireplaces. It feels like fall! So of course I couldn’t help but whip up a couple of fall crafts over the long weekend to share with you. Now you all know that I don’t have a heck of a lot of free time these days so when I tell you that these sweet bundles of fall goodness only took me ten minutes you know I’m not playing. It’s really super simple. Start by gathering these supplies! Old glass jars (or candle holders), fakes leaves (mine came from the dollar store) and glue (whatever kind you want).
Now put some glue on the back of your leaf and stick it on the jar.
Repeat until you like how it looks. I did one with a whole lot of leaves and one with just a few because friends, variety is the spice of life. Now let them dry and stick a couple of your favorite fall scented candles inside!! These make the perfect addition to a mantle display, a table centerpiece or a bookshelf arrangement. You can’t go wrong with a craft that only takes 10 minutes!

I’ve been trying to glue those leaves on couple of mason jars all day and they’re not sticking very well using mod podge. Think I’ll be switching to another kind of glue. I cleaned the jars off with alcohol. Rats on that nonsense. Whatever I’m doing wrong my patience is getting very nil. Like how your lanterns/luminaries look much better. Think I’m trying to put too many leaves on the jar. Happy days

So pretty — and so simple! I would have never thought to do something like that, but I love them. They’d even be great as gifts filled with candy for all those October birthdays . . . I have about six in my family. Crazy!

I never thought of turning them into gifts, but I bet they would be really cute!
