I’m excited to announce that I have teamed up with 29 incredibly talented and creative bloggers to share some fun neighbor gift ideas. Make sure to check out all the ideas below and visit everyone’s blogs for more details.
This time of year everyone seems to be spreading the love and cheer and I thought it would be a great time to teach my kids all about giving back. I wanted to do something that would be quick and easy and help teach a little bit about community. I grew up in a super small town and there are a lot of good things about that. I knew all of my neighbors growing up, not to mention most of the other people who lived in my town. We have made a pretty good effort to get to know our neighbors where we live now, but it’s definitely a little bit different. The kids and I decided to whip up a batch of homemade chocolate chip cookies, but if you aren’t the baking type feel free to grab some from the bakery department at the grocery store the next time you are there. No one will know the difference and really who is going to complain about free cookies!
Next step is to pick up some small paper treat bags. I bought these ones on Etsy, but Pick your Plum usually has some and you can buy them from most party supply stores as well. Mine are 6 3/4 by 4 3/4, so if yours are different you may want to resize the printable to fit. I simply stuck them in my printer and print the design right one them. I put a few cookies in the bag and then sealed it with some fun washi tape.
In case you don’t have any bags laying around and you don’t want to go buy some just for this, I also made a regular paper sized copy of the house and poem that you can print out, cut out and then attach to any container you like! I hope you enjoy and I hope it gives you a good excuse to go talk to your neighbors and spread some community love!
