I’ve been going through a bit of a nostalgic period lately, remembering the holidays that I celebrated as a child. Just me and my mom and my sister, decorating the house, trimming the tree and creating ornaments to last our lifetime. I have such warm and fuzzy memories of creating those ornaments that I wanted to share that experience with my own kids. Give them their own warm and fuzzy holiday memories.
Supplies
- Cord or string
- Glass beads
- Scissors
Start off by cutting about 10 inches of cord off. Tie a knot in one end and then let your kids string about 4 inches worth of beads on. I personally think the less help I offer them the better they turn out. My son is super methodical, wanting his beads to have a pattern and a reason to their placement. My middle daughter however, was much more of an any bead she could get her hand on and my littlest, well she needs everything to pretty. Once they are done, fold the remaining cord in half and tie it in a knot, creating a loop to hang them from the tree with.
Easy peasy and they will be something your kids will remember for years to come. Really, they will probably want them for their own tree when they grow up. Click on the button below to check out all the other amazing 15 minute or less holiday projects!
