This project is a fun spin on a traditional recycled project. I stopped by my local Goodwill the other day and as soon as I walked in the door I was blasted with about 30 signs all advertising 50% off all glassware. Needless to say this sparked my interest and as I walked through the store (with all three kids mind you!) I snapped up all the white bud vases I could find. There weren’t that many and a few times I considered grabbing some other colors, but I had an idea and the white vases were the only thing I could visualize.
So here it is, a 3 step guide to creating a classic floral display.
- Take all your mismatching white vases and put them together.
- Fill them with your favorite flowers. Maybe you want colorful daisies. Maybe you like the fern foliage look. Maybe tulips, roses, carnations or mum’s are your favorite. Whatever it is, stick a stem in each vase.
- Admire the simple beauty.
Bam! This is my favorite kind of project. A perfect example of other peoples trash becoming your treasure. I picked up all these vases (plus a few more) and the daisies for under $10 and it took me all of 5 minutes to put this together. it’s such a eye catching display and it requires no knowledge of flower arranging!
You could even turn this into a mini science lesson and get plain white daisies and then add some food coloring to the water in the vase and watch them change colors! Ohhhh, I think I know what I’ll be doing next time!
Now go check out all the other amazing recycled projects linked up to this months Craft Lightning!!
