Today I’m SO excited to be at SNAP Conference in Salt Lake City surrounded by 500 other talented crafty bloggers learning, creating, and celebrating the friendships we’ve made because of blogging! And to celebrate with you, I teamed up with Abbey from The Cards We Drew and a large group of bloggers to create Crafts in a SNAP {15 Minute Craft Ideas} so that ANYONE, whether beginner or seasoned pro, can learn to create fun and handmade items in no time at all! Check out my tutorial for a cute ribbon key wristlet coming up, then scroll down below and be sure to check out some of what my blogging friends have to offer!! Have fun and get creative!
A couple of weeks ago I made this awesome lanyard as a teacher appreciation gift. I realize that not a ton of people have a need for lanyards in their life, but if you are anything like me you are constantly loosing your keys in your purse or bag. Plus who wants to carry their keys around by the ring. #ow
I realized that the same technique I used to make my lanyard would be a perfect fit for a key wristlet. So I grabbed out the black and white chevron ribbon once again and got busy. I cut two pieces each 6″ long. then using my favorite non-sewing tool, I steam-a-seamed them together to make it extra durable. I folded my ribbon in half, with one side about an inch longer than the other. I folded that inch back up over the doubled ribbon and sewed it shut. I sewed a fancy box with an X across it, because that’s what the pro one’s look like.
Then I simply looped a key ring through the loop at the bottom. It was such a quick and easy project that I whipped one up for my SNAP secret sister gift too.
