I am notorious for being an over zealous photographer. Sometimes my husband jokes that I am a little like the paprazzi, stalking my children and him from afar taking photos when I don’t think they are looking. He might be a little bit right, but they grow up so fast that I am worried that I won’t remember just how sweet they were at this age if I don’t capture it forever. Up until now though, I’ve never known what to do with all those pictures. I could share them to Facebook, but then I feel like I am spamming all my friends and family with photos of my family all the time. My husband made a comment the other day though, that really struck me. Right now I am hoarding all those memories to myself, and no one, not even him or the kids, can see them. So I decided to stop hoarding and start sharing.
We decided to spend mother’s day weekend scouting new camping spots and exploring our region. We live in such an amazing part of the country with the beach and the rainforest basically in our backyard. We headed out into the wilds of the national forest to try and find our secret campground with the kids. It had been about 3 years since we had trekked there, so we were a little foggy on the directions. Thank goodness we found it though. It sits right on the river and is surrounded by old growth forest and trails for days. I immediately began snapping photos with my phone. Luckily I switched over to the Walmart Family Mobile plan with the Galaxy Avant last month. I love how similar it is to my old phone and how many options there are for apps.
On our drive home I started sifting through the photos and instasized them into fun squares. There is something so fun about a square photo and I have found about a million ways to display them. Once they were all cropped and edited to perfection, I opened up the Walmart app. I was so happy to realize that I could upload my photos directly from my phone and send them to print in an hour at my local store. Not only that, but they offer 4×4 prints for the same price as traditional 4×6’s. As we pulled back into town I had my hubby swing into Walmart so I could pick up my photos and since I’ve been saving a little cash with my WFM plan, I picked up a couple of albums and fun papers too.
Once I got home it was as simple and gluing my photos onto the paper and sliding them into the sleeves. Seriously I spent about 30 minutes picking out the right papers to go with my photos and then deciding what order to put them in. Before the day was over I had created a photo album of a trip and all the fun we had.
