Hello Crafters!! Megan here again with a quick and simple craft project!
I’m not a homeschool mom, but my boys are home with me twice a week (I work out of my home), and I like to make sure my 5yo isn’t spending all his time watching TV or playing video games. I have no teaching experience a’tall, but we try to work on numbers and words and things when we can. I thought a fun method for him to practice would be using a big chalkboard!
Well, big-ish.
I am a huge fan of snapping up clearance art from craft stores and thrift stores, always with the intent of re-purposing it into something else. I’d had this canvas print chilling out in my craft room for a while, just waiting for a purpose!
I’m not kidding you guys, this is SUPER simple. A can of chalkboard spray paint turns this into a blank slate! (Pun intended.)
You could easily use chalk itself on this, but I have chalk markers I love, so I used that to test it out.
I see no reason why J can’t practice perfect math and writing on this now! And it can double as artwork when not in use!
Whatcha think? 😉
