My family has been gaga for the Star Wars series since my husband and I were our kids ages. We have watched the entire series more times than I can count, and it is consistently one of the top five movies we choose for a family movie night. So we were obviously excited to see that some of our favorite cereals were featuring glow in the dark Star Wars stickers. I decided fairly quickly that rather than letting them stick them all willy nilly I wanted to make something out of them.
Now don’t worry you can get your hands on these decals too, they are in specially marked boxes of Cheerios, Multi-grain Cheerios, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, and Cookie Crisp.
I started off by painting a 8×10 canvas black. I then used a bottle of glow in the dark puffy paint to add some dots to the outside edges of a couple of the decals. I also added a couple of regular glow in the dark stars to the key points of my decals. Once they (and the canvas) were dry, I strategically stuck those bad boys down. I added some glow in the dark stars and some painted dots to the canvas to mimic outer space.
I am absolutely in love with how this turned out, and I tried so hard to get a good glowing in the dark picture to share with you, but man oh man, those are pretty much impossible to take!!
