While I was at SNAP conference last month I met up with some of my friends at Floracraft and they had the most adorable mini succulents that they were giving as swag. I might have squealed and hugged Jamie a little too tight.
Maybe you’ve seen lately on Instagram or Facebook that we’ve been remodeling our kitchen. Going to open shelves from uppers meant that there was some serious purging of old dingy unused kitchen stuff. It also meant that I was going to get to stage some more shelves!
I have been slowly adding some succulents to every single room in my house, because my love for them runs deep. Remember this succulent post? Oh yeah, I went there. This project was super easy and only took about 10 minutes start to finish. I grabbed a little bowl from the dollar store and gathered the rest of my supplies from around my house. The rocks (originally a dollar store purchase) left over from our wedding 5 years ago, and the foam (again, dollar store!!!) that I’ve used for countless projects over the past year.
I started by cutting a piece of foam to fit inside the jar, and just sit in the center. I filled around the foam with rocks and the just popped the succulent stems into the foam after cutting the stems about halfway down. I added some more rocks to hide any remnants of foam or stem and popped it up on my kitchen shelf! Love!
