I turned 40 a couple of weeks ago, and so far, it's not so bad. Took a little family getaway to a lake house and spent the weekend kayaking and playing in the sun. It had been a long time since all 5 of us had that much time together. The older the kids get, the busier our life seems, and the long weekend away was exactly what I needed.

Ever since Christmas came down, the bottom half of this wall has been begging to be filled with more art and photos. I was cleaning out my classroom closet the other day and found an entire box of frame and knew that the time had come. So today, on my bonus day, I hung all the frames! I'm struggling to put into words what my goal is f

I'm struggling to put into words what my goal is for this year. I love the idea of a word or phrase, but I can't seem to find anything that really expresses what I'm feeling. I feel so full of ideas and possibilities. I feel as though I'm on the precipice of change, and I don't want to lose that.

I want to do more. But like just the fun stuff. I want to be more creative. I want to worry about work less and play more. I want to go places and do things. I want to make things again. I want to do all the things that set my soul on fire and make me laugh until I cry. I want to feel full. Of life. Of love. Of happy. Until I'm bursting with all of it.

How do I sum all that up into one word? How do I capture this feeling, these desires, and keep them alive even when it's easier not to?
